ABOUT
Jonny and Rusty Bakelite were two of the original "Blightynauts". Blasted off into space in 1957 by Professor Quatermass and his British Experimental Rocket Group. They left a world of universal employment, social mobility, the welfare state, the NHS. They returned to earth in 2016... well you know the rest.
We write all our own stuff. Yes, I know we should be playing Queen covers at our age. But to be quite honest I'd rather cut my appendages off with a rusty knife.
We've played lots of gigs and festivals and also put on band nights with our friends. We will literally play anything or anywhere. We're not desperate mind. We just love to play Rock 'n'Roll.
Also we really love to work with other people who love music. So get in contact if that's off interest.
We have our PA and stuff so can play anywhere.
In terms of our music influences. Well, rather than produce a sad dad list. Basically, I think we probably love everything that's not shite. You can waste too much of your life in the trenches of the Punk Wars. Bob Dylan is great and so is Lizzo. And I will happily have punch-up arguing that Kylie's "Can't get you out of my head" is the greatest pop record ever (which it is).
